The advantage of rockwool is that it has a high water holding property and contains much air. Rockwool is also light weight, compact and relatively inexpensive. Rockwool is therefore the most commonly used culture medium in greenhouses. Yet it is not easy to grow in rockwool, some knowledge is required. Rockwool has a high pH value, it is important to water it well with a low pH value (5.1 to 5.5). Make sure the PH value in the slab is never less as 5.0. This prevents the wool from collapsing and losing its elasticity. By treating rockwool right, it can be used for a long time.
